WHY I CREATED – FINDING YOUR PATH

Finding Your Path grew out of my own lifelong journey of searching, service, and remembering who I am beyond the roles I have lived for others. After a divorce in California following more than twenty years of living someone else’s life, I returned to Australia seeking a deeper spiritual connection. Once again, I found myself supporting another’s passion before my own. Yet both of my marriages introduced me to the power of living with purpose—and planted the seed for my own path.I studied eco-tourism and travelled throughout Australia, working in eco-retreats, ashrams, and wellness centres. A serious accident following the 2011 floods became a turning point, leading me into yoga, service, and trauma-informed healing work. I went on to create and facilitate programs combining yoga, expressive arts, environmental and heritage practices, and trauma healing for survivors of domestic violence.Returning to study in visual arts, and later screen and media, brought these threads together. Finding Your Path weaves expressive arts therapy, yoga, mindful photography, forest bathing, heritage, and reflection—inviting participants to gently go within and remember who they are beneath obligation and survival. This film is an invitation, particularly for women later in life, to reconnect with authenticity, creativity, and purpose through nature, story, and embodied experience.
